Privacy Policy
Plain English, no surprises. This policy applies to every app published by Mintree LLC.
The short version
- We don't collect personal information from you.
- Your photos, documents, and scans are processed on your device and never uploaded to us.
- If you buy a subscription, Apple and RevenueCat process the purchase. We never see your payment details.
- We don't sell data, show third-party ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
1. Who we are
Mintree LLC ("Mintree", "we", "us") is an independent app studio based in Illinois, USA. We design and publish apps for iPhone and iPad that are distributed through the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information our apps handle, how it is used, and the choices you have.
2. Information we do not collect
Our apps are designed so that we don't need your personal information. We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Your photos, documents, scans, or the contents of web pages you print or view.
- Your contacts, location, health data, or any other sensitive information.
- Your payment card details or billing address.
Our apps do not require an account and do not ask you to sign in with us.
3. Camera and photo library
Some of our apps can use your iPhone's camera (for example, to scan a document) and your photo library (for example, to choose a photo to print). When you grant access, that access is used on your device only to perform the task you asked for. Images are not sent to Mintree or to any third party by the app. You can change camera and photo library permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security.
4. In-app purchases and subscriptions
Some of our apps offer optional in-app purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions. These are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. When you make a purchase:
- Apple handles payment, billing, and refunds. Apple's handling of your data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment details.
- RevenueCat, a subscription management service, helps us confirm whether a purchase or subscription is active so the app can unlock the features you paid for. To do this, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated identifier, purchase receipt data from Apple, and basic device information (such as device type, iOS version, app version, and locale). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details. RevenueCat's practices are described in its Privacy Policy.
We use this purchase information only to provide the features you paid for, to understand overall subscription activity in aggregate, and to respond to support requests about purchases.
5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Our apps do not include third-party advertising networks and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use data for targeted advertising. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized App Store statistics (such as total downloads by country), which cannot be used to identify you.
6. Crash reports and diagnostics
If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash logs and diagnostic information with us. These reports help us fix bugs and do not contain personal information or the contents of your files. You can turn this off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
7. Support emails
If you email us at tim@mintree.io, we will receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use that information only to respond to you and to improve our apps. We don't add you to marketing lists and we don't share your message with anyone else, except where required by law.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information. The only third parties involved in our apps are Apple (App Store, payments, and optional diagnostics) and RevenueCat (subscription validation), as described above. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our legal rights.
9. Data retention
Because we don't collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain. Purchase and subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own policies and for as long as needed to manage your purchase. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
10. Your rights and choices
- Permissions. You can grant or revoke camera and photo library access at any time in iOS Settings.
- Subscriptions. You can view, change, or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings under your Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Deletion. Deleting an app removes all app data stored on your device. If you would like us to ask RevenueCat to delete the anonymous purchase record associated with your device, email us and we will help.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Since we hold no personal data about you, these requests will typically have nothing to act on, but you are welcome to contact us and we will respond.
11. Children's privacy
Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because our apps do not collect personal information from anyone, this should never occur. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, for example by email, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. International users
Mintree is based in the United States. Apple and RevenueCat operate globally and may process purchase information in the United States or other countries. By using our apps, you understand that the limited information described in this policy may be processed outside your own country.
13. Security
Your files are processed on your device and protected by iOS. Purchase processing relies on the security of the App Store and RevenueCat. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because we hold no personal data, the risk to you from our apps is minimal.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we release a new app or when laws change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, note the change in the relevant app or App Store listing. Your continued use of our apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
