Terms of Use

These terms apply to every app published by Mintree LLC and downloaded from the Apple App Store.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mintree LLC ("Mintree", "we", "us"), an Illinois limited liability company. By downloading, installing, or using any Mintree app (an "App"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

2. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement

Our Apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and are licensed, not sold, to you. Unless otherwise stated in the App Store listing, your use of each App is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If there is a conflict between the two, the Standard EULA controls with respect to your rights against Apple, and these Terms control with respect to your relationship with Mintree.

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Mintree only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

3. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, Mintree grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App, except where applicable law expressly allows it.
  • Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute the App.
  • Use the App for anything unlawful, or to print, reproduce, or distribute content you don't have the right to use.
  • Interfere with the App's operation or attempt to bypass any purchase or subscription checks.

4. Your content

Any photos, documents, scans, or other content you use with an App remain yours. Our Apps process that content on your device and do not transmit it to Mintree. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you print or use, and for complying with any applicable copyright or privacy laws.

5. In-app purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions

Some Apps offer optional paid features through in-app purchases or auto-renewing subscriptions. All purchases are made through your Apple ID and are subject to Apple's terms. The following applies to subscriptions:

  • Pricing. The price and length of each subscription period (for example, monthly or yearly) are shown in the App before you confirm a purchase. Prices may vary by country and may include applicable taxes.
  • Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged.
  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Price changes. If we change a subscription price, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask you to agree before the new price applies.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Mintree can't issue refunds directly.
  • Subscription validation. We use RevenueCat to confirm that a purchase or subscription is active. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Updates and availability

We may update, change, or discontinue any App or feature at any time. Updates may be installed automatically depending on your device settings. Some features depend on hardware you own (for example, an AirPrint-compatible printer) or on your network, and we can't guarantee they will work in every environment.

7. Intellectual property

The Apps, including their design, code, graphics, names, and logos, are owned by Mintree or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "Mintree" and our app names are trademarks of Mintree LLC. Apple, iPhone, iPad, App Store, and AirPrint are trademarks of Apple Inc. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use our trademarks.

8. Third-party services

The Apps rely on services provided by Apple (the App Store and in-app purchases) and RevenueCat (subscription validation). Those services are subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APPS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPS WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MINTREE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APPS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO AN APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR TEN US DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mintree and its members, officers, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of an App.

12. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may terminate by deleting the App from your devices. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Sections 4 and 7 through 15 survive termination.

13. Legal compliance and export

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with all applicable laws when using the Apps.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you mandatory rights under local law, nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, for example through the App or the App Store listing. Continued use of an App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
